Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the vital role of health visitors in maintaining the health and well-being of families in the UK. While remote and digital methods provided necessary adaptations during the pandemic, face-to-face visits remain irreplaceable for effective health visiting. Policymakers must recognise the complexity of health visiting work and ensure that services are adequately supported and valued. Future resilience of health visiting services requires a realistic understanding of their scope and a commitment to protecting and enhancing these essential services.
