Development and Validation of a Behavior Change Tool for the 'Why Weight' Child Healthy Weight Program Evaluation

Overarching Aim: In this project, it is asked that the prof doc student/research assistant designs and tests a practical tool that can effectively identify factors triggering behaviour change in children and young people participating in the 'why weight' healthy weight program.

Objectives:

  1. Develop a user-friendly tool that can pinpoint key behaviour change concepts influencing children's healthy weight outcomes.
  2. Validate the tool through pilot testing with a group of children who are participating in a child healthy weight program, assessing its effectiveness in identifying behavior change triggers.
  3. Evaluate the tool's reliability and validity in showing the child healthy weight project's success/ impact.
  4. Refining the tool based on feedback and results obtained from the testing process.
  5. Provide recommendation on the key behaviour change concepts to trigger that should be of prime focus for the Why Weight team.
