In this seed project, I will use a participatory approach to develop and validate a new pictorial self-report measure of adventurous play for use with 3- to 7-year-olds, an age-group whose viewpoint is rarely taken in quantitative play research (FitzGibbon, Oliver, Nesbit, & Dodd, in prep).
